CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s season 8 premiered on 27th September, 2007 premiered and it ended on 15th May, 2008.
Prior to the infamous Writers Guild of America strike of 2007, only eleven episodes of the show had been filmed and broadcasted and in the aftermath of the strike only six more could be made. Thus, season eight happens to be the shortest season in history of the show, with just seventeen episodes.
Jorja Fox made a comeback as Sara Siddle but only for seven episodes, this season and the guest roles have been performed by: Method Man (Drops, Episode 14), Jessica Lucas (Ronnie Lake, Episode 3-7), Louise Lombard, Sofia Curtis (Episode 1) and Jessica Collins (The Miniature Killer, Episode 1)
The recurring characters this season were, Wendy Simms, David Phillips, Archie Johnson, Bobby Dawson, Mandy Webster, Henry Andrews and Conrad Ecklie.
